I am kind of late, but the animation community has lost another former Hanna-Barbera veteran. 

Jerry Eisenberg sadly passed away on February 11 at the age of 87.

I didn't have the honor of meeting Jerry, when I started working/falling in love with animation in 2016. 

So, I leave this quote here.

"Dear Jerry, 

I didn't get to meet you or be friends with you, but you made thousands of people laugh at the amazing characters that you and others make will care from your hand-drawn legacy, 

keep riding in Peter Potamus' hot-air balloon"

FUN FACT:

The GoldBox Show pilot was DC's "experiment" with cel animation, and (having inked and painted on my own) I practically insisted on it. Digital color is a lot dead-inside than painting cels.

My big disappointment was that because this was DC's first stab at cel color, I was forced to look online use the existing cel color palette. Cel should allow thousands of color choices, but I only had two white/gray-ness white flesh tones to choose from and neither seemed pale enough for Danielle. That's why Danielle's color (and a number of other colors) changed after the pilot.

The "David Cartoons" intro image and the title cards were all digital. Our BGs/Animation were all painted old-school. Our animation was scanned in and colored digitally. I guess it was sort of a hybrid production.

 And ILOVEit!BTW, the skull was drawn by CN exec Linda Simensky, not Mike Lazzo. Lazzo just uses it for [adult swim], which was first seen as a pirate flag at the Cartoon Network Studios building for several weeks in 2000 (when the building was officially opened on August 24th) before local Californian police threatened action over its lack of permit.

The GoldBox Show Pilot & Me coming back to work...

Before I got my Asian Indian ass sent to AEC,

in January of this year

I storyboarded an episode for THE GOLDBOX SHOW

THE NIGHT GOT REALLY SCREWED UP!

But... Sure,

we started up production100 years ago (joke).
But this FridayApril 25thA-Period / D-period Lunch(Texas time)the first episode privatively premieres.
"The Pilot"anyways with me coming back to work

Like... I think come backing to WORK pretty intense.

And after a grueling 4.5 days (COMING BACK FROM AEC, BUYING, SETTING UP, MOVING STUFF FROM HOME), I had to get up and perform my story for the bigshot RHS Teachers along with my old/new friends.

Soon You Guys See, between Pre-Production (writing, designing, storyboarding, etc.) and Post-Production (calling retakes, spotting music and sound FX, editing, mixing, etc.) 

Don't Worry Me, Alex, Sidi, Matthew & Tyrez are up to our vampire-bitten neck in craziness. 

So now it's my job to help him out! I'm kind of doing a little of everything-- Post-Production, Pre-Production, hanging out by the pie table at the Rowlett High commissary, etc.

 In other words, I get to work on a fun show, hang out with my friends all day, work with an awesome crew and awesome new friends and teachers, AND get not ban for doing it at school?

But don't worry... I've got lots of my OWN projects (Ant-Op, Bold! and an third Unnamed Space-themed Cartoon...) in varying stages of development! Keep it locked here so I can tell you about them!
